How do i talk my dad out from Buying a Chevorlet Captiva Diesel?
He is gone nuts, I keep telling him we are too poor to buy something cheap, and that he would be better of buying that piece of junk second-hand.
Can you believe a 2 yr old Chevorlet Captiva costs 8k and new around 20k
He thinks hes buying a American car, and i keep telling him its a Korean piece of crap that is a Opel Antara underneath.
What is a alternative SUV or crossover in that price range that is worth looking at, because that heap of junk will loose 8k from its value after 1 mile.
I suppose you want him to waste his money on the Range-Rover rip-off – the BMW X5? It seems you are a ‘Brand snob’ & do not want a family member to lower your ‘standards’! As Chevrolet is part of G.M ( along with Vauxhall / Opel & Isuzu – who have built 4×4′s for years) they must know a thing or two about them. The thing is that 4×4′s depreciate more than ‘standard’ cars and as the Captiva has lost over 60% of its value already it will lose less over the next 2 years.
